We will have a free photographer, a pet caricaturist, demonstrations by Lower Merion's K-9 dogs and free reiki for companion animals. There also will be veterinarians, including a pet behaviorist, trainers, pet sitters and walkers available for free consultations. Elwood, voted 2007's Ugliest Dog in the World, will be in attendance along with Henley, a rescued puppy mill sheepdog. Both Elwood and Henley's owners write wonderful animal books for children and young adults.
Penn Veterinary Hospital will be at Buzzy's explaining Penn's Animal Blood Bank, the largest animal blood bank and transfusion center of any veterinary institution in the world.
Representatives of Main Line Health Credit Union will be available to explain their Noah's Ark account which is to help fund pet emergencies, vet bills, etc.
There will be many shelters, rescue and foster organizations with wonderful dogs and cats for adoption, including Brookline Labrador Retriever Rescue www.brooklinelabrescue.org for their first "Meet and Greet" with volunteers available to answer questions about their adoptions and their labradors. AWA www.awanj.org , Animal Coalition of Delaware County, Inc. www.acdc.ws , Lost and Found Dog Rescue www.lnfdogs.org/ , among others, will also be present with wonderful animals for adoption.
We will have food, refreshments and treats for all companion animals and their "best friends" and plenty of other surprises.
From 11 am to 4:00 pm, rain or shine.
