A Special Birthday

Sunday, April 13 was a very special day for a young girl who was celebrating her birthday. She had decided (along with her parents) to have a “very special” Birthday Party. To celebrate her Big Day she wanted to do something special for all her friend’s and their best friend’s too. You see Sydney, the birthday girl, is a real dog lover and doesn’t have a forever friend to call her own (yet). Her Parents think the world of her and with their help Sydney planned a great party. She celebrated her day at Buzzy’s in what’s affectionately known as Buzzy’s Backyard. It is an enclosed grassy area at the back of the store that is enjoyed by many of our customers.

It was a chilly and windy afternoon, but that did not deter the fun the kids and dogs were having. They were all
running, playing, trying their paw at an agility course, enjoying a piñata filled with dog
biscuits. and another one filled with candy. But the best part of her party was the
kindness shown to animals not as fortunate as the ones invited to Sydney’s party. She decided that instead of presents from her friends and Family that she would like to help a Rescue Organization for pets needing a home. Her kindness raised $160.00 for the Animal Welfare Association in New Jersey, who furnishes the cats that we have available for adoption every day at Buzzy’s. Visit the cats on either our web cams or better yet stop by the store and adopt a new best friend. They are irresistible.
