How is Buzzy's More than a Retail Store?
Buzz has been involved in many aspects of rescue and fostering of companion animals over the years. He has watched the pet food industry evolve, with a larger segment of manufacturers producing natural, organic, raw and holistic foods that pet owners can buy with confidence. Just as natural and organic food stores have blossomed for humans, Buzz felt it was time to have a store that specialized in healthy foods for companion animals.
Buzzy's is committed to improve the quality of life for companion animals, by utilizing a portion of the store's profits to help fund shelters, adoptions/foster groups and community activities that need our support. We offer Free Seminars & Workshops on subjects relating to the care and nutrition of our companion animal family members. Please let us know if you would like to either adopt or foster a companion animal. Should you have a particular breed in mind, we will try our best to put the word out with our many shelter/foster groups to accommodate your needs. At Buzzy's we consider any multiple mixtures of breeds just as wonderful as a purebred. We hope that when you decide to adopt your "best friend" and open your heart as well as your home to an animal in need, that Buzzy's can assist you.

Natural Pet Food Stores?
Buzzy's is more than just your typical natural pet food store. Our staff has been trained to help our customers choose the best products for their companion animal's needs. If you would like us to order an item that we do not stock, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate your needs. We pledge to offer the best possible service while offering the best natural, organic, raw and holistic foods.
Our priority mission at Buzzy's is to find homes for "orphaned" pets. We have created many avenues, through our local shelter and rescue groups to make available all types of pets for adoption. We also promise that we will do our best to educate our companion animal community about the latest developments in companion animal care. Helpful hints will be available both in the store and on our web site to inform you about new foods, new breakthroughs in medicine and services available in the care of your "best friends."
Will Buzzy's have any activities for Children and Teenagers?
Buzz realizes that our children are the future in eliminating the need to euthanize healthy animals. Through education and the involvement of our youth in the care and treatment of companion animals, we can all make a difference in our community. Buzzy's will have writing and photography competitions on animal related subjects for children and teenagers. Buzzy's will also be working with young people to raise funds for the acquisition of K-9, search & rescue and bomb sniffing dogs by governmental agencies, and also therapy assistance dogs to help both children and adults.
Our staff works with individuals of all ages to encourage them to become familiar with adoption and foster services. Buzzy's feature organizations such as "Pals for Life," made up of volunteers who take their companion animals to hospitals, special needs schools and nursing homes to brighten someone's spirits with these visits. We intend to expose our customers to many opportunities that encourage the interaction between companion animals and their families who visit our store. Buzzy's has created Buzzy's back yard for the pure enjoyment of companion animals and their families. All dogs must be leashed when visiting the park but that will not prevent them from having fun with their friends.

What is Buzzy's WOW Shoppe?
The Wow Shoppe has specialty items for companion animals that will WOW you and your pets. In addition to animal themed crafts, Buzzy's features clothing and jewelry designers with animal themes.
Special needs animals will not be left out. Buzzy's has an assortment of apparatuses that will assist animals with paralysis as well as senior animals who can no longer move about on their own without assistance. Items such as padded steps to help make it into your bed, coaches that will permit your companion animal to still take walks with you and many other devices for specific needs are available.
What are our
Free Seminars & Workshops?
Buzzy's offers Free Seminars and Workshops starting at 7 PM during the week. Experts, covering a wide array of subjects, educate our community to help us relate to the needs of our companion animals. Among future speakers will be local veterinarians, authors, photographers, bereavement counselors, trainers and pet sitters. Buzzy's will also have animal behaviorists and representatives from our local shelters and rescue groups on hand to help you better understand the care and feeding of companion animals, and ways in which you can volunteer. We will have after hours "singles night;" what better way to meet new friends than through your companion animals' introduction.
What Adoption Services
will Buzzy's have?
Walk into the Maplewood Avenue entrance and you will find 2 cat adoption "nurseries" to help our customers find the purrfect companion cat. You can watch them up close and personal as they lounge and play with their nursery mates. You can also observe them on our Cat Cams. Buzzy's has been working with local rescue groups and shelters to organize "Dog Adoption Days" at the store and will be continually offering dogs, cats, rabbits and even an occasional horse for adoption.
What Pick-Up and Delivery Services
will be available to customers?
Call ahead to order over the phone at 610-617-3300. In fall 2008 you will be able to place an order on our website for pick-up. Buzzy's wants to make your shopping experience a pleasant one as well as convenient. If you find you are just too busy to stop in, please phone ahead and let us do the shopping for you for easy pick-up. We will also be starting a delivery service to local corporations.
Will you have available
Literature on Animals?
We do intend to create an after-hours Book Club and have authors at Buzzy's to discuss and personally autograph their books. Please let us know if you would like to join our Book Club. In 2008 we also will have writing and literature activities for children involving companion animals.
When will Customers
be able to Order On-line?
Our e-commerce website will be up and running in the fall of 2008.
What Other Information
will be Available on the Website?
Commencing with mid-2008 we will be phasing in book reviews, law resources, adoption matching services and summaries of our Seminars & Workshops. Buzzy's objective is to improve our customers' care and relationships with their companion animals, while making our community a fun place to experience. We have worked hard to make Buzzy's an exciting place for companion animals and their "best friends." Flat screen TV's will keep you informed and entertained while you shop and also will keep sports fans happy.
