Anniversary Party & Dog, Cat Adoptions
Thanks for Celebrating with Us!
Buzzy's held its 1st Annual Anniversary Party on Sunday, September 14th which featured lots of free events that made the day a huge success and tons of fun. Over 40 exhibitors, and several hundred people and their "best friends" attended. Six shelter, foster and rescue organizations had many successful adoptions of dogs and cats. The Lower Merion Police Department provided "Tank" a trained K-9 dog and his handler, Officer Eric Curcio. In addition, there were many different types of veterinary practitioners providing valuable Q & A for our attendees.
There were two noted children's book authors, along with their companion animals who were the subject matter for their stories, a local photographer and many companion animal food manufacturers with lots of samples to partake. A caricaturist, who marveled the crowd with his talents, did portraits of many of our attendees and their companion animals.
A highlight of the day was the blood mobile that is part of the University of Pennsylvania Veterinary Hospital's program. Pals for Life who brings animals for over 700 visits a year to nursing homes, children's hospital wards, rehab hospitals, etc was also there looking for additional volunteers who would like to include their dogs as "pals." We also had many pet trainers, walkers and sitters and other fantastic individuals and groups who are involved with companion animals.
Thanks to our valued customers and wonderful exhibitors for making this day a huge success.
